Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? is originally the name of a TV game show with the participation of children and adults, which has been aired during different years and in several seasons. But the game based on this program is not comparable to that TV program in many ways.

As we said, the game is based on a TV show, so it should be able to bring the same atmosphere to life. But unfortunately, it has failed in this matter. The lights, a busy stage, and many spectators in the TV show created a cheerful and exciting atmosphere. But in the game, the environment looks dead and empty. The graphics are not catchy and even there is no audience on the stage. The dialogs of your classmates and the two hosts sound very artificial. As a result, the feeling of the TV show will not convey to the audience at all.

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? introduces things such as students’ skills or competition format and etc., through dialogues and cutscenes. They quickly become repetitive and you no longer need to pay attention to them. Of course, you can usually skip these things, but this becomes annoying after several rounds of each match.

Not too shiny!

A game is different from a TV show. On TV, viewers are passive, but in the game, gamers like to be active and interact with the game. Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? puts a lot of distance between each time you interact with the gameplay. Therefore, if you like to answer the questions quickly and move on to the next question, this game is not suitable for you. It is better to go for mobile games that take you directly to the questions with much faster and simpler user interfaces.

According to the game developers, there are several thousand questions in different categories in the game. However, we encountered repeated questions during our game time. Although the game has a childish atmosphere, some questions are difficult for children, so if the game is to be played by younger people, it is better to have an adult help them. The answers to the questions are provided in the format of multiple-choice, true and false, and even simple mini-games.

You have three Cheats to use

You will be asked questions from the first to the sixth grade of elementary school, which will become more difficult with each answer. You can get help from your classmates, who are also elementary school children. Although they may give wrong answers according to their skills and the category of questions you have chosen. After finishing each match, your points are calculated and based on them, you get cosmetic items for yourself and your classmates.

The game has a single-player Mode, but the most enjoyable mode is the local multiplayer. Unfortunately, the multiplayer game does not support any online features. You can only play with up to eight people locally.

In general, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? does not have any problems in its main gameplay, which is asking and answering questions. But due to poor graphics and sounds, a soulless atmosphere, and no online mode, the game is not extraordinary.
