Unlike Mirage, for many years the Assassin’s Creed series become an action role-playing title. The games with huge maps and countless activities that take dozens of hours to complete. AAA games like this are worth spending money on, Especially since they received excellent support even after the launch. Especially the Valhalla game, which received a lot of free content in addition to paid DLCs and in-app purchases. But now Ubisoft plans to satisfy the older audience of this series with a more compact game.

Mirage is the latest addition to Assassin’s Creed franchise. Unlike today’s big titles, this game does not cost seventy dollars. Although the game is still open-world, it does not have the grandeur of the late previous games. Naturally, it is expected that the gameplay duration will be reduced, Just like the early games of this series until Syndicate. Considering this reduction in size and the fact that the publisher has set a price of fifty dollars for it, we consider it in the category of AA games.

Hopefully deep stealth is back

Mirage is set to take players on an exciting journey through the vibrant world of the middle east. The game promises to offer a wholly new experience that combines the iconic gameplay mechanics of the AC series with a fresh and immersive setting, making it a must-play title for both fans of the series and newcomers alike. The story is set in the ninth century, during the Abbasid Empire. Players take on the role of a young, ambitious assassin as they navigate through the bustling streets and markets of Baghdad. The game’s narrative is steeped in history, with players encountering both real-life historical figures and fictional ones.

In this game, you are Basim, an important character in AC: Valhalla. In the early stages of the story, he is just a thief trying to survive. Soon he encounters Assassins and joins them with the guidance of Roshan, A Persian mentor. It’s noteworthy to say that Roshan’s voice actress is Shohreh Aghdashloo. She is a professional artist both on screen and behind the microphone.

The overall Mirage gameplay is what is expected from older versions of AC games. That is, you have to go around the city with parkour, climb buildings, and obstacles, chase your targets, and kill them often so that the Assassins can defeat the opposing cult. You have several safe houses in the city where you can get new equipment or upgrade them. Also, in these places, you should choose your next primary or secondary mission. Each mission has a series of additional challenges that you need more accuracy and focus to complete.

Apparently, the story revolves around safe houses

One of the most significant additions to Mirage is the introduction of new stealth techniques. In addition to things like covering behind a wall or using crowds to avoid detection, now you have more ways to be a silent assassin. The most useful of them is chain assassination which lets you mark your targets and execute them in the blink of an eye. Also, you have gadgets like different smoke bombs. If you would like to use a stealth approach, also your eagle can be a great help, but remember, here the enemies’ AI is improved, so they can see and attack the eagle. These add a new layer of strategy to the game, making it more immersive and exciting for stealth fans than ever before.

In the graphics and visuals section, Mirage is a feast for the eyes. The game’s vibrant and detailed environments are created with stunning graphics and immersive sound design. The attention to detail in the game’s architecture, clothing, and cultural elements seems impressive and will be making it a fun experience for gamers, especially if you loved the original AC game and its middle eastern setting. For such people, also there will be a color filter that lets you play the game with a saturation match to the original game.

In conclusion, the game seems promising. Hopefully, the game’s new stealth systems, its detailed open-world environment, and paying attention to the series’ roots make Mirage a unique and exciting addition to the AC franchise.
