Top Indie Games Made By One Person (Part II)
In the second part of the best indie games made by one person article, we will introduce five other games like that. Most of these games have some not-so-great appearances but engaging gameplay.

Bright Memory
Bright Memory is the work of an Asian game designer who only worked on it in his spare time. Thanks to the artistry of the developer and Unreal Engine 4, the game has a stunning look despite being very short. Bright Memory was supposed to be released in several episodes. After the first episode, the developer went to update that with the help of others and released it for different platforms along with the quality of life improvements. Now next episodes with better features are under development.

Thomas Was Alone
Thomas Was Alone is a puzzle-platform game created by one man. In this title, you have the control of two-dimensional polygons that have different attributes. You win over obstacles and puzzles by controlling these characters and making changes in the environment. This game was first produced for Flash and played on browsers, but with the success that game achieved, it launched for many other platforms. The game was praised not only for its fun gameplay but also for its narrator performance.

Spelunky
It’s a title with simple rogue-like gameplay. You control a little miner who has to dig and go deeper into the ground and collect treasure and items. With every failure, you go back to the beginning of the game, where the map changes. This series has two entries, the first one of which you can play for free. Just go to the developer’s website and download the game. Of course, the first part has a remastered paid version too.

Retro City Rampage
A game in the good old GTA formula that was going to release for the NES console! Please make no mistake, the game is not old, but the developer wanted to do this for the love of retro games. The game designer had even developed software to make the game for the lackluster NES hardware, but in the end, the game was produced and first released for PC.
Here you have a big city under your feet where you can roam freely. The missions and even controls of this title were inspired by GTA. However, sometimes the camera changes, and the game becomes a side-scrolling action.

Braid
Braid is one of the first indie games that was highly praised and drew more attention to smaller developers. Braid is a 2D adventure that uses the mechanics of time and physics in a very creative way. Braid had complex and engaging puzzles that you need to think outside the box to pass. The story has the familiar beginning of saving a princess, but it doesn’t go as simple!
